Our latest activity for World Heart Day 2025.

In 2025, the National Heart Institute expanded its reach by offering yoga sessions, nutrition education, and health screenings in both rural and urban centres, making quality heart care accessible to everyone, no matter where they live.
Our digital outreach also grew, with online health sessions and webinars reaching larger audiences and helping people take charge of their health.
We strengthened our community presence through the Rural Medical Centre at Uttarayana Hospital in Almora, which continues to provide vital care and support in underserved areas.
The message was clear: heart health awareness must go beyond hospitals and become a nationwide movement, reaching every household and making heart care a priority for all.

Hundreds of individuals were examined during the Heart Health Awareness Campaign across multiple locationsโAlmora (Uttarakhand), Morena (Madhya Pradesh), Srinagar (J&K), and Delhi. Participants received free health checkups, medicines, and expert counselling, helping spread the message of prevention and early detection to communities across India.
Young students were actively engaged through health lectures in schools and colleges, aimed at building heart health awareness from an early age. These sessions were supported by lifestyle guidance, informative posters, and interactive discussions, encouraging students to adopt heart-healthy habits and become ambassadors of preventive care in their communities.
Renowned experts including Dr. O.P. Yadava, Dr. Vinod Sharma, Brig. (Dr.) Y.K. Arora, and Prof. S. Dwivedi led impactful sessions for communities and corporates, focusing on vital topics such as healthy lifestyle habits, balanced nutrition, and how to "Know Your Heart" and support "Protect Your Heart" initiatives. Their guidance emphasized the importance of informed choices in preventing heart disease and promoting long-term cardiac wellness.
As part of the campaignโs commitment to accessible healthcare, free open-heart surgeries were arranged for patients in need, ensuring that financial constraints do not stand in the way of life-saving treatment. This initiative reflects our dedication to compassionate, inclusive cardiac care for all.
